Hell No… I think this show will follow suit with Zumbo and Restaurant Devolution
Memo to ch7: Behave yourself because those yummy mummies are causing blue murder in hell’s kitchen(programming dept).
i like that- thats funny. good one
Hi David, It has probably been asked before, why is Nine News in Perth around a third of Seven’s ratings?
If it wasn’t for this huge disparity Nine News and Nine overall would probably fare much better in the ratings.
Historically Seven is a stronger brand in Perth due to a mix of factors: WIN TV owned Nine but spent little locally. Seven was local newspapers, decades of Telethon etc. Similar case in Adelaide.
Nine last won Adelaide in 2006, same case for Melbourne and indeed 5 city metro as a whole.
2006 was the last year Nine had the AFL.
Coincidence?
Also, surely Nine fared much better in Perth between 2002 and 2006 (when they had the AFL), would be interesting to see the shares for back then.
As someone who has grown up in WA, I thought I might be able to help. Channel 7 has had a long association with both the AFL and WAFL prior to the Eagles entering the VFL/ AFL, plus they’ve had the same two newsreaders for something like 30. When you got home from school or work, you’d turn to channel 7 and get the most up to date news from Rick and Sue. Having the football on 7 meant a lot of people would simply leave their TV’s on 7. Mind you we only had 3 channels when I grew up, so it wasn’t such a big deal to leave the TV on just the one channel. Not sure when 10 came along, but think it was some time in the 80’s.
Shiraz: Channel Nine cannot beat Rick & Sue.
I Am one thats does watch Nine News. Just as good as Seven.
Enjoy Tim & Emmy plus Tracy Vo

A shame that blue murder was dragged down by Hell’s Kitchen Australia it was excellent Richard is Rogers identical twin
Yet despite all this channel 9 only won the night by 0.2 %. Saved a thrashing by the multi channels
Yes – all those Big Bang Theory episodes on 7Flix are to blame or to thank – depending on how you look at it.
Pity poor Seven Sales copping calls from ALDI after this half-baked, re-heated mess of a show delivered…absolutely nothing. Looking forward to seeing lots of ALDI ads as make ups.
These are not “celebrities” , and viewers know a turkey when it gobbles. First someone mistakes Zumbo as good talent, then thinks Marco is Gordon Ramsey ? If these drugs are available where can I get some?
Wow – no Sharknado in Pay TV ratings top 20.
A Hell of a ratings collapse for that reheating show.
Ouch! That’s a massive 28% drop in one day for Blue Murder. Clearly, it didn’t resonate with viewers. Will be interesting to see how it does in the +7’s.
Disappointing numbers. HKA no help.
Yes, a shame about BM.
Haven’t watched yet as it clashed with Survivor but by all accounts deserved better ratings.
Perhaps, like me, many viewers recorded or timeshifted to watch later.
Your mileage may vary from me but… don’t get your hopes up!
Perhaps time has tinted my memory of the original with rose but this was not a worthy successor.
Really? Doesn’t sound promising but I’ll reserve my judgement till I get around to watching.
The “love story” between Roxburgh’s and Colette’s characters did set my alarm bells ringing a bit .
True, but I think a big drop was expected there given that the dubious “celebs” were just reheating meals. However, HKA’s drop was actually less than that for BM – “only” 25%.
I can see us having just two commercial TV networks soon if Foxtel Murdoch ownership in ten don’t make changes soon to lift Ten’s fortunes. They have the channels and programmes to do it.
What is their opposition? The same old Block with amateur actors pretending they can build/renovate houses and Non-Cooks heating up food cooked by others. Yes 9 and 7. They know how to achieve ratings but do not make watchable worthwhile TV shows, apart from a few odd good ones and sport, which keeps them in front. I do not watch survivor, maybe it was a poor choice by Ten to buy that franchise but whatever, something has to be done now and urgently be4 Ten is totally destroyed. Some people may then be jubilant but I for one will miss Ten. After the GFC through short sellers and with the new billionaire management it was almost destroyed. This is just so sad when you think of the quality of…
