Nine wins fourth ratings week

Ratings: Nine beats Seven in total people & demos last week, while ABC ties with TEN.

Nine has won its fourth ratings week of the year, thanks to The Block thumping Hell’s Kitchen Australia, amongst other wins.

Seven’s multichannels again closed the gap but it wasn’t enough for a win (at least not unless Timeshifting changes things).

TEN and ABC tied for network share, albeit with ABC enjoying one additional channel.

Nine has also claimed the 7pm slot for the year with A Current Affair winning 21 of 40 weeks.

Grant Williams, Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs for Nine, said: “The entire team at A Current Affair continually strives to provide our audience with a program that is not just informative, but also relevant and helpful in their everyday lives. Our viewers are incredibly loyal and we need to repay that by being just as loyal to them. That’s why we’re out there every day of the year telling their stories and fighting for a fair go when they’ve been hard done by. A huge thank you to all our viewers right across the country for making us number one at 7pm.”

One Response

  1. “TEN and ABC tied for network share, albeit with ABC enjoying one additional channel”.

If you’re going to highlight that you should prob also mention that ABC ME only runs for 16 hours a day. ABC’s main channel beat Ten’s again.
