Starsky & Hutch next for remake?

A new-look Starsky & Hutch ie being shopped to networks in the US.

Writer-director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) is on board to write the screenplay and possibly direct. He would be executive producing the alongside his brother and cousin, Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn respectively.

David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser famously starred in the original 92-episodes that ended in 1979, later revived in a 2004 feature starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

Co-executive producer Neal Moritz has been behind Prison Break, 21 Jump Street and S.W.A.T. revivals.
