Airdate: Born to Kill

UK drama about a teenage boy with psychopathic desires comes to BBC First.

UK psychological thriller Born to Kill, in which a teenage boy trying to hide his psychopathic desires falls in love for the first time, begins on BBC First shortly.

The four part drama stars Jack Rowan and features Romola Garai, Daniel Mays, Lara Peake, Sharon Small, Elizabeth Counsell and Richard Coyle.

Written by Tracey Malone & Kate Ashfield, this premiered in the UK in April.

This edgy, cinematic drama is a haunting exploration of the mind of a 16-year-old boy on the brink of adulthood, and of the fears of his single mother who’s keeping a traumatic secret from him.

Sam is embarking on his first romance with fellow teenager Chrissy, who’s moved to the area after family turmoil of her own. But things are about to take a much darker turn. Beneath the surface of his charismatic persona, Sam is experiencing more than the usual teenage angst – a psychopathic urge to kill. His family and friends have no idea what he is capable of. Only his victims know the chilling truth. And they’re not talking any more.

Monday September 11 at 9.30pm on BBC First.
