  1. It is being reported elsewhere that from next week Survivor moves back to 3 days. Whilst I hate the move, from memory Tuesday was their best performing night of the 3 last year.

    1. It is strange because last year we whinged that three days was too much. Now it feels like it has gone missing from Tuesday, mainly because the offerings on other channels are so pitiful.

  2. With the AFL Finals over the next month, perhaps Seven believe that’s enough.

As to save their ‘bigger’ hits until October/November?

    (e.g.) Next week:

Little Big Shots, Heath Ledger special, Highway Patrol (new), First Dates Australia (new), 800 Words (new) & a few other new factuals/docos/specials.

    Then AFL Finals again.

So I guess they’re holding Cannonball, The Secret Daughter, etc?

    1. It’s not all reflecting badly on you guys – more of you watched 7:30 & Four Corners than either.

Even if you restrict the comparison to “shows containing whining, put-downs, and jumping through hoops to justify your continued existence”, Media Watch still beat them…

    1. One would think TEN’s new owners would be comparing the costs and ratings sheets for “Austn Survivor” and “HYBPA”. Similarly for “I’m a (wannabe) Celebrity..”

    2. I think Survivor will come back because its doing pretty well in the younger demos and is rating similarly to last year. Hells Kitchen is certain to be cancelled.

  3. David, is Seven under some sort of contractual obligations to persevere with Hell’s Kitchen? Or does their near monopoly in Perth & Adelaide & their lock on Fiday/Saturday nights even things out for the overall network performance?
