There are 3 stories in tonight’s Look Me in the Eye including a daughter looking to reconnect with her father before it is too late, a Chinese-born mother estranged from her Australian-raised son and a young man coming out to his best friend.
Look Me in the Eye seeks to discover if eye contact alone can help bridge personal rifts and explores what happens when only eye contact is used as a form of communication between two people who are estranged.
Based on the research of neuroscientists who believe that direct eye contact can communicate much more than just words, this series explores what happens when only eye contact is used as a form of communication between two individuals who have grown apart.
Hosted by Ray Martin, Look Me in the Eye explores what happens when two estranged people come face to face – without conversation – to look each other in the eye.
Episode Two:
Country girl Shelley wants to reconnect with her father Mick, who walked away from the family when Shelley was 10. Single mother Jenny, born and raised in a strict Chinese culture, felt that her son Carl, 19, was too young to move in with his girlfriend. Eduardo wants to reveal the truth about his sexuality to his former best friend, Haylee.
8:30pm tonight on SBS.
