It's early days, but US creators have a new vision for a favourite 1990s melodrama.

The latest reboot rumour emerging from Hollywood is a new version of Party of Five, the 1994 series that arguably shot Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf & Neve Campbell to fame.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the reboot would be about a first-generation Latino family who have immigrated to the U.S. and are living through the highs and lows as they learn to make it in a new country. The fate of the family’s parents is being kept under wraps (maybe they are sent packing by the President?).
Original series creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman are developing the project for Sony Pictures Television Studios.
The reboot is in the early stages — a network is not yet attached — and Sony Pictures Television Studios have yet to hear the pitch.
Sony TV declined comment.

Loved Party of Five when it first aired and fell in love all over again when I recently rewatched it.
However, networks need to come up with original shows. Very few reboots work and risk tarnishing the original.
I’ve mentioned before these are never an either / or situation. US networks are announcing original shows in development every week. There were over 500 scripted shows in the US in the last year.
You forgot Jennifer Love Hewitt. I used to love this show, but why must they remake everything, can’t they think of anything new?
Here for this although i think it was the cast that made the original show was it was . Defiantly rate it in the top 20 shows of my all time favs ??
