The Bachelorette 2017: meet the guys

Just 1 of 17 single men in The Bachelorette is older than its star, Sophie Monk.

Just 1 bloke on The Bachelorette is older than its 37 year old star Sophie Monk: engineer Jamie from Western Australia who is 38.

Contact Services Manager Chad from Victoria is also 37 but 16 other single guys range in age from 24 – 35.

While that doesn’t actually make her a ‘cougar’ by any stretch of the imagination, it is Monk herself who commented that she thought they would be older.

Still, hopefully love knows no bounds, even for reality TV faces returning to the genre that made them a star in the first place.

“I’m nervous. It’s a lot of pressure. I just want someone I’m compatible with. I’m in a good place in my life now and I’m really ready to settle and meet someone that’s good for me. I’m ready to fall in love. I’ve been searching for this my entire life,” says Monk.

On his idea of the perfect partner, Luke said: “Someone who is real, honest and doesn’t take themselves too seriously. She should be passionate about what she does and love the outdoors, adventure and travel.”

Investor/entrepreneur Blake, personal trainer Brett, scaffolder Eden, engineer Jamie and small business owner Mack are the five Bachelors from Western Australia.

Another three men hail from Victoria: contract services manager Chad, marketing manager Hayden and vineyard manager Jarrod.

    1. Love knows no limitations. You cannot box love in to general notions if what should be.
It funds it’s own level, like the flow if water.
Apart from which, Pink said of the marriage equality issue, its none of your business.

  1. I’m very disappointed in the age ranges. One of the reasons I was looking forward to this season was to see some more ‘mature’ people on this show. This is much younger than I expected and I don’t get it.

  2. I know age is just a number. Love conquers all etc etc. However realistically I think a 24 year old man/woman would struggle to find much in common with a 37 year old man/woman. What happened? Do the producers think no one will watch if they only have “old” people over 30 on tv?
