Former Lost star Dominic Monaghan will star in Bite Club, an 8 part drama coming to Nine.
To be produced by Playmaker Media, the series is described as an unconventional police procedural in which ex-lovers who survive a terrifying shark attack are thrown together by fate to hunt down murderers.
Monaghan’s character, Stephen Lamb, is a troubled police officer and dog handler who grew up in an abusive family, was chained to a dog and bitten as a child -and has also developed a serious psychosexual perversion.
Bite Club will be produced by Sue Seeary, with Jennifer Leacey directing. Andy Ryan, Jo Rooney, David Maher, David Taylor and Sarah Smith are executive producers.
Monaghan currently fronts travel series Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan.

So it’s not a cooking competition show then…
A weird premise for a show.
C’mon, people keep complaining about cookie cutter medical, legal, and police dramas. Don’t know if this’ll be any good but at least they’re trying something different.
Would like to have been at the meeting where this was pitched.
“Did you come up with the title first? Where does the shark fit into this again?”
“No, hear me out”.
First rule of Bite Club is you don’t talk about Bite Club
