Filming wraps on League of Gentleman revival

The first image from the new series of The League of Gentlemen has appeared on social media.

It was tweeted by actor Matt Bevan and also by Reece Shearsmith and features Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss and Steve Pemberton in character on the set as Ross, Mickey and Pauline.

Meanwhile filming has been completed in the UK.

Cinematographer Mattias Nyberg teased on Instagram, “That’s a wrap on The League of Gentlemen! What a ride! 541 slates in 18 days. Exhausted but so happy with what we got – it’s going to be dynamite. Royston Vasey will visit your screens at Christmas.”

The three new episodes mark the 20th anniversary of the cult comedy’s debut on BBC Radio.

No word on an Australian screening as yet.
