Stan has released first photos of its miniseries Romper Stomper which concludes filming in Melbourne shortly.

The 6 part series will debut over summer.

Synopsis:
A thrilling, bold and provocative 6-part Stan Original Series, Romper Stomper picks up on the prescient themes and story of Geoffrey Wright’s 1992 classic feature film. This high stakes crime drama/political thriller explores the human face of extremism, following a new generation of the activist right, the anti-fascists determined to stop them, and the multicultural fabric of a country each of them threatens to tear apart.

Cast:
Jacqueline McKenzie (The Water Diviner, Love Child) and Dan Wylie (Love My Way, Puberty Blues) reprise their roles from the original film. Joining them are Lachy Hulme (Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch Story, Beaconsfield), Sophie Lowe (The Beautiful Lie, The Slap), David Wenham (Lion, Top of the Lake, Killing Time) and rising stars Toby Wallace (Boys In The Trees), Lily Sullivan (Mental, forthcoming Picnic at Hanging Rock) and Nicole Chamoun (The Doctor Blake Mysteries).

Creators:
Geoffrey Wright, creator of the original film, directs alongside Daina Reid (The Secret River, Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS, Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War) and James Napier Robertson (The Dark Horse). Produced by John Edwards and Dan Edwards.
