Nearly 2000 Stranger Things fans gathered for a screening at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall yesterday.

Hosted by Gretel Killeen, with a special message from Australian cast member, Dacre Montgomery (Billy), the Sydney screening was part of an event in eleven cities including London, Mumbai, Sao Paulo and Tokyo.

Upon entering, fans traversed a spooky forest complete with Castle Byers (the makeshift fort made by Will Byers in the forest near his house), and an Alphabet Wall (Joyce Byer’s makeshift Ouija Board made using fairy lights). Progressing through the internal corridors of the Opera House, fans entered the Hawkins Middle School halls, decked out with school lockers, before arriving in an 80s arcade. Complete with games including Pac-Man, pinball machines, air hockey and DJs spinning an 80s soundtrack, fans reclined on retro couches whilst being served Benny’s Burgers and waffles.
