Gogglebox in tears for Barry DuBois

The tears flowed as Gogglebox families watched one of the year's most emotional TV moments.

“Jeez that’s brave to put that on TV.”

Goggleboxers were last night in tears as they watched a moving segment from The Living Room in which Barry DuBois told viewers his cancer had returned.

DuBois will undergo heavy treatment over summer in his fight against plasmacytoma myeloma.

“I’ve had two cycles of chemo now and all being well, touching wood, at the end of my third cycle what I’m going to do is a stem cell and bone marrow retrieval and prepare for a transplant,” he said.

“At Christmas time when we are on holidays I am going to be in an isolation ward with the great people at St Vincent’s Hospital under the care of some amazing people and I’m going to have a very strong dose of medicine.”

Gogglebox, which is always at its most powerful with raw emotional reactions, said:

“That was such a shock”

“God bless you my friend.”

“It’s so nice how they love him so much.”

“Go get ’em Baz.”

You can catch the episode tonight on TEN.
