Kitty is Not a Cat set for Seven

Cats may make you LOL but Aussie animated series Kitty is Not a Cat is set to raise a smile when it screens on Seven in Autumn, 2018.

The 52 x 12 min series by BES Animation was unveiled at MIP Junior last year, selected as one of the top five most popular programmes screened to buyers. After this year’s MIP Junior event it has deals in Italy, the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

Bruce Kane, Co-Creator & Producer BES Animation said, “We are immensely proud of Kitty is Not a Cat, a show that has far exceeded our expectations in terms of broadcaster response. With a background in producing irreverent comedy and music shows in Australia, we wanted to create a show that uniquely blends urban culture, comedy and music with stories that connect to 6-10 year old kids.”

Niki Hamilton, Executive Producer, Seven Network said: “This quirky and unique animation is delightful and will produce some wonderful family entertainment for the Seven Network.”

BES Animation recently won a pitch contest at this year’s event and announced pre-production on a new series of Monster Beach for the Cartoon Network.
