Nine takes biggest weekly gap over Seven this year

Ratings: Thanks to NRL & The Block Nine finishes the week more than 7% points above Seven.

No surprises here. The NRL Grand Final gave Nine it’s biggest edge over Seven so far this year.

The game drew a whopping 2.3m viewers which, together with The Block, served up a weekly share of 33.2% over Seven’s 25.8%.

While Seven’s AFL Grand Final drew a bigger audience the week before (2.8m), it wasn’t in primetime.

While TEN had a dismal Sunday night against the NRL, it drew a bumper crowd on Friday -it’s second best night of the week. Both TEN & ABC were up compared to the previous week.

  1. Typo: “over Seven’s 25.8m”. Unless of course Seven had more than the entire population of Australian mainland state capitals watching 🙂
