Renewed: Liar

UK thriller Liar, which is about to screen on Seven, has been renewed for a second season.

The series, starring Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd, sees the two entangled in a web of deceit and confusion after a woman recently out of a relationship is set up on a date with the father of dates one of her students.

In the UK the show has been a ratings hit for ITV.

Writers Jack and Harry Williams (The Missing) said, “We always hoped this story would return for its final chapter, and we can’t wait to be reunited with the brilliant Joanne and Ioan”.

It is due on Seven by the end of the month.

Ioan Gruffudd is currently filming Harrow in Australia for ABC.
