Returning: 12 Monkeys

Season 3 of 12 Monkeys will screen on SBS VICELAND next month and begins with a double episode.

The show has already been renewed for a fourth and final season.

The 10 part series debuted in the US in May.

The third season of 12 Monkeys continues the journey of James Cole, a man sent back in time to eradicate the source of a deadly plague, and his partner, brilliant virologist Dr Cassandra Railly. While attempting to untangle an insidious conspiracy that’s been spun throughout centuries, the duo embark on a desperate search across time to find the man responsible for the apocalypse – a time traveler who calls himself the Witness.

Season Three, Episode One: Mother (10.20pm)
Welcome to the birth of the Witness. Welcome to the beginning of the end of the world. Episode Two: Guardians (11.10pm) Cole travels to 1922 and faces new enemies, while the origins of the Witness world-ending plan are revealed.
