Trevor Marmalade return for Footy Show?

Eddie McGuire is getting the band back together.

If Eddie McGuire is the most powerful talent in television, as an article suggested last weekend, then comedian Trevor Marmalade just got an open invitation to return to The Footy Show.

McGuire, who has just returned from MIPCOM in Cannes, was yesterday in attendance at Nine’s Upfront event in Melbourne.

Asked about the plans for the AFL show following the departure of Dave Hughes he told News Corp., “I haven’t spoken to Trev since I’ve been back, but we’re gonna catch up.

“We’ll have a chat to the great man and see what’s going on.

“Part of the joy of doing The Footy Show in the first place was Trev behind the bar, Sam’s sense of humour, and all the humour coming out from all the players.”

Marmalade was part of the original Footy Show line-up from 1994 – 2008.

Hughes is off to TEN for his own panel show but may make occasional appearances later in 2018.
