Hamish Blake and Andy Lee said: “We are stoked to be teaming up with Warner Bros. on this project. We are well aware that Australia isn’t the only country with funny, true stories in it, so we cannot wait to see what everyday tales make it onto screens throughout the world. We are currently learning Spanish, French, German, Swedish, Italian, Polish, Danish and Greek so we can enjoy the episodes in those countries if it ends up getting made there.”

Michael Healy, Director of Television for Nine said: “Since Hamish and Andy joined the Nine family in 2011, it’s been a privilege to work alongside them as they continue to take risks and deliver some of the funniest and most innovative television that this country has ever produced. With True Story, it’s enormously gratifying to know that we saw something inimitably special in their idea and that concept is to be presented on a global stage. My sincere congratulations to all the team at Radio Karate.”
