ABC wins key slots on Monday

Ratings: Australian Story, 7:30, Four Corners win slots. TEN's HYBPA? tops the demos.

ABC scored in early evening timeslots again last night, pushing their primary channel to second place and Nine into third.

The season final of Australian Story (787,000) won its slot, as did and 7:30 (746,000), easily beating Instant Hotel and Family Food Fight, both under 600,000. All Star Family Feud and a Michael Mosley series on SBS followed.

At 8:30pm Four Corners finished the year by pipping Have You Been Paying Attention? at 717,000 and 695,000, respectively. But TEN’s panel show topped all 3 demos. Liar and Menendez Murders were some distance behind both.

Seven News, ACA and The Chase won earlier slots.

Seven network won Monday with 28.7% then Nine 23.6%, ABC 22.6%, TEN 18.2% and SBS 6.8%.

Seven News was #1 for Seven at 957,000 / 931,000 then Home and Away (689,000), Instant Hotel (587,000), The Chase (561,000 / 372,000) and Liar (445,000 / 411,000).

Nine News (910,000 / 897,000) led for Nine then A Current Affair (749,000), Family Food Fight (549,000), Hot Seat (463,000 / 281,000) and Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders (280,000).  Chicago Justice was 153,000 / 107,000.

Australian Story (787,000), ABC News (749,000), 7:30 (746,000), Four Corners (717,000), Media Watch (631,000), Q&A (506,000) comprised ABC’s night.

Have You Been Paying Attention? (695,000) was best on TEN followed by The Project (494,000 / 341,000), Family Feud (337,000) and All Star Family Feud (321,000). Man with a Plan was 275,000.

On SBS it was Michael Mosley: Nine Months That Made You (205,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (179,000), River Cottage Australia (174,000) and SBS World News (111,000)

Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom reigned over multichannels with 241,000.

  1. Sunrise continues its roll of 300k+ and big wins. Instant Hotel collapses from last weeks highs, tonight will be telling. Channel 9 coming 3rd a lot, Nine News also particularly low of late (their lowest week of the year last week). Fantastic demos for Ten and what a night for the ABC, once again!
