Created for practitioners wanting to up-skill within their craft, or diversify an existing skill-set, these courses are part-time, after hours or online .

Advanced Diploma in Production Management
Enhance your logistical, financial and management skills with this course, designed to help you fast-track your career to a production management position. Upon completion you’ll have the skills and knowledge to perform immediately in the role of production manager on projects such as short films, documentaries and web programs. You’ll also be qualified for employment as a production coordinator on television series, feature films, documentary, reality programs and television commercials.

You’ll develop the knowhow to apply different production methodologies across a broad range of production styles and formats, with an understanding of the workflows, roles and responsibilities required at each stage of production. You’ll learn practical skills in writing production schedules and budgets as well as an insight into legal, insurance, payroll, cost reporting and rights management issues.

Advanced Diploma Screenwriting: Series Television
Working in a simulated writers’ room, you’ll consolidate your understanding of genre conventions and collaborative writing skills while you hone your skills through continuous practice and refinement. This course is for you if you aspire to be a series television writer who understands the relationship between character, plot, genre and format. You’ll also develop an understanding of audience and knowledge of the logistical and practical requirements of television.

Advanced Diploma in Script Editing and Development
Gain the specialised craft skills and knowledge required to enter the film, television or media industry as an entry-level script development professional. In this course, screenwriting principles are grounded in an awareness of industry development stages and processes. Through practice, you will hone your analytical, communication and collaborative skills and learn to mediate between the creative intentions of the writer and the requirements of a production.

This course is designed for writers, directors and/or producers who seek the skills to re-structure scenes and finesse dialogue for television projects or provide written and verbal script notes for feature film projects. You’ll gain the knowhow to chair story meetings or run a writers’ room and deepen your understanding of story across different platforms and formats.
