Despite those reviews, US remake gets good news.

The reboot of Dynasty has been given a full-season order by The CW, its first for the fall season.

Despite mostly negative reviews the series is averaging 1.3 million US viewers with three days of DVR, but enjoys a lucrative deal with Netflix, where it airs in Australia.

Elizabeth Gilles, Grant Show and Aussies Alan Dale, Nathalie Kelley, and James Mackay star in the remake of the Aaron Spelling-produced 80s original.

  1. I must be the only one who is enjoying this. It doesn’t seem to have the budget of the original, but some of the lines and cat fights are just as camp. It seems to be finding it’s feet the more it goes along so I look forward to more episodes. Would love to see some cameos from the original cast 🙂

  2. The issue on this show is that its all been done before so there is nothing new. There was a show called Oil which screened on soon to be defuncted Plus7. to quote George Harrison when he cameo-ed on the Simpsons in the Bee Sharps episode, “its been done”

    1. It is a soap, the long running scripts for these shows are constantly revised and recycled and audiences, mostly women, have been and will be watching them for years. Dynasty has good production standards and attractive actors and mostly deals with wealth, greed and sex what more could you ask for.
