End of ratings year in sight

Ratings: Seven won the week, but Socceroos on Nine pulled the biggest crowd.

Including this week there are just 2 more weeks of the ratings years remaining. Seven is expected to claim Total People while Nine is expected to claim the Demos.

Seven won another week led by US drama The Good Doctor, although it was eclipsed by the Socceroos for the week. While the gap narrowed between the big two, there was barely much change between ABC & TEN.

Nine scored with 16-39 viewers but Seven won 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven won every night except Wednesday, claimed by Nine. ABC bettered TEN on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Saturday.

Seven won 4 cities, but Nine held in Melbourne.

Best brands this week were:

Seven: The Good Doctor (Tues: 1.13m), Seven News (923,000), Instant Hotel (718,000), The Wall (669,000).

Nine: Socceroos: World Cup Qualifiers (1.15m), Nine News (Sun: 860,000), A Current Affair (660,000) and 60 Minutes (666,000).

ABC: Doc Martin (978,000), The Doctor Blake Mysteries (891,000), ABC News (Sun: 858,000) and Australian Story (795,000).

TEN: Have You Been Paying Attention? (684,000), Gogglebox (604,000), The Project (7pm; 468,000) and All Star Family Feud (439,000).

SBS: Great British Railway Journeys (348,000), Great American Railroad Journeys (307,000), Food Safari Earth  (282,000) and Insight (250,000).

  1. Seven will be happy with Q4, no doubt about that. They should win main channel now too. Had Food Fight worked, last week could’ve been great for Nine. Staturday December 2 (final ratings night) will be an extreme battle, RLWC final vs. Ashes day/night.

      1. Yes, point taken, it’s difficult because networks start at different times. But I consider Wall / Instant Hotel vs. Food Fight to be the main Q4 battle and Nine definitely didn’t fly high there. However, that said and even if Seven win, Nine have had their best and most even full year since probably 2006, all quarters still performed, only poor now and back during some of Q2 with Last Resort (Voice also suffered a bit).
