Hollywood harassment: Weinstein, Ratner, Piven, Masterson latest.

NYPD investigating rape allegations against Weinstein. New claim against Jeremy Piven. Ratner to sue over defamation.

Actress Paz de la Huerta (Boardwalk Empire) has accused disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein of raping her twice in late 2010.

The allegations are under investigation by New York police.

“We are aware of the sexual assault complaints,” the NYPD’s Sgt. Brendan Ryan said in a statement. “We are actively investigating them. The NYPD continues to work with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office on the case,” he added. “The investigation is on-going.”

De la Huerta has claimed that Weinstein offered to give her a ride back to her apartment after a party in October 2010 because they lived in the same neighbourhood. At that point Weinstein insisted they have drinks in her apartment. There she alleges he then removed her dress and forced himself on her.

“He pushed me on the bed,” De la Huerta said, “and it happened all very suddenly.”

Along with New York police, law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and the UK are also looking into alleged crimes surrounding Weinstein.

Meanwhile producer Brett Ratner has filed a suit against a woman he says defamed him by alleging he raped her.

The suit was filed in a Hawaii federal court, the same day the Los Angeles Times published an article in which six women, including actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, accused Ratner of allegations ranging from sexual harassment to assault.

Attorney, Martin Singer said, “Brett Ratner vehemently denies the outrageous derogatory allegations that have been reported about him, and we are confident that his name will be cleared once the current media frenzy dies down and people can objectively evaluate the nature of these claims,” a statement read. “He understands the seriousness of this issue and the importance of addressing the concerns of victims of sexual misconduct both in the entertainment industry and beyond.”

Elsewhere actress Cassidy Freeman (Smallville, Longmire) became the second actress to accuse Jeremy Piven of ‘predatory behavior.’

On her Instagram account she wrote, “I know what you did and attempted to do to me when I was far too young.

“THAT I know. And you know it too.”

Piven, whose appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was dropped has denied the claims.

“Jeremy Piven’s interview for Friday’s broadcast was pre-taped earlier this week on Monday, October 30. Since we were unable to address recent developments in that interview, we are replacing that segment with a new guest,” said the Late Show.

Lastly, a rape case against former That ’70s Show star Danny Masterson has inexplicably stalled in LA courts despite “overwhelming” evidence against him, according to police sources. Allegations from the early 2000s surfaced last year regarding accusations that he “violently” raped four women, three of whom are also Scientologists. The incidents were initially reported to the church, but nothing ever came from it. Masterson also features on Netflix series The Ranch.
