If TV shows had their own channel….

TV schedules of the future? Be afraid.

Last week at Seven’s AllFronts they confirmed My Kitchen Rules content would be available all year round with former contestants fronting new content on 7PLUS.

That got me to thinking, what if TV shows had their very own channel? The way some shows dominate our schedules they are close to having it now.

Here’s what our schedules might look like if we take things one step further….!

  1. A clever idea. The ABC has already started in a similar vein with a News channel, a Kids channel and soon a Comedy channel. Change a few of the column titles and you have my PVR playback schedule.

  2. You mock – but it’s not a particularly long stretch to get from timeshared / split channels like the ABC’s ABC2/ABC Kids or the BBC’s BBC4/CBeebies, to this…

(In fact I’d be surprised if some programming exec hadn’t already noted the overall success of block & ‘bingewatch’ programming & gone “Hmm….?”)

  3. Hah, excellent work. Could prob add channels for Cops / Motorway Patrol / Border Patrol,
Extreme / Mega / Super / World’s Most Superlative Things, and YouTube Videos Make You LOL.

  4. Don’t give them ideas 😛 I wouldn’t put them past wanting to give some of their reality shows their own channels

Isn’t TBBT a CBS show? So how long before it goes on Ten too so then it may literally be at all times you can find an episode of it on no matter which channel you’re watching :P. The amount of reruns & channels its on now it may as well just be given its own channel though

    1. Technically it’s a Warner Bros show. Kind of like how This is Us is an NBC show but is produced by FOX so it was on Ten (until they cut off the deal)
