Industry forum to address harassment

Free industry forum in Sydney will address sexual harassment & bullying issues.

In response to the increasingly alarming incidents coming to light concerning sexual harassment in the Australian screen sector, a free industry forum will take place in Sydney.

Women in Film and Television (WIFT) NSW, in partnership with Screen Australia, Create NSW, Australian Film and Radio School (AFTRS), the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA), Screen Diversity and Inclusion Network, Foxtel, Screen Producers Australia (SPA), Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA), together with Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia, are collaborating to present Safer Workplace Strategies Forum on Tuesday 12 December at AFTRS in Sydney and live streamed nationally on the WIFT (NSW) Facebook.

The free admission, half-day forum will feature a range of panel discussions and speakers addressing the issue of sexual harassment, bullying, assault and intimidation in the workplace – with the aim of finding a practical way forward that addresses the issue head-on, and that works for employees, employers, and our industry as a whole.
