In an upcoming “ripped from the headlines” episode Law & Order: SVU plans to dramatise elements from the Harvey Weinstein fallout.
But it won’t take place in the movie industry but the airline industry. Scaredy-cats…
“We are hitting Harvey Weinstein head-on, but it’s not in the realm of the entertainment business,” executive producer Michael Chernuchin told EW. “It’s a real important episode about the rape culture in an industry, and we wanted to try stretch the law to criminalise that sort of environment.
“We were actually working on a story about airline pilots and what a boys club that is,” Chernuchin says. “We were beating the story out and said, ‘Wow, this is exactly what the actresses go through in Hollywood. It’s the same environment.’ So we got all of our Harvey stuff out with airline pilots.”
The episode is due to air in 2018.

Many of the ‘L’nO’ eps have storylines that are taken from current events as a start, but then are taken in other directions-otherwise it’d just be a dramatized recreation show.
This past season of Ray Donovan had a very similar story to the Harvey Weinstein saga except they filmed before the news broke out.
I guess vaguely.
I take their episode based on Trump is never going to get an airing
Shelve indefinitely.
Maybe they’ll give it a run if he ever gets impeached.
