Nicollette Sheridan cast as Alexis Carrington in Dynasty reboot

Desperate Housewives star to revive the role originally played by Joan Collins.

Former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan will play the role of Alexis Carrington in the Dynasty reboot.

The role was originally played by Joan Collins in a short-run, becoming so popular she became integral to the show.

Alexis is the first wife of Blake Carrington and mother to Fallon and Steven. She will return unexpectedly to their world, challenging Blake’s marriage to Cristal, seeking to reunite with her children, and fighting to claim what is hers.

Sheridan, who also featured in Knots Landing, was famously entangled in a lawsuit with Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry which she lost, despite appeals and attempted retrials.

Dynasty, rebooted for The CW, airs in Australia on Netflix.

    1. I was thinking the same Andrew, but I’m still resisting. Dynasty was so wonderful and popular in its own right to watch a politically correct remake, it just irks me, to say the least. But I probably will be lured.

  1. I was actually hoping for Liz Hurley, she would have been awesome, and being British carrying on the tradition of Joan Collins!! But Im keen to see how Nicolette is!

The show is a bit hit and miss so far tho, some weeks are good other weeks average, the ideas are there for what they are trying to do, but its just not quite hitting the mark…

  2. I had no interest in the Dynasty reboot ( or the original for that matter ), but Nicollete could change that. Knot’s Landing is my favourite of the 80’s super soaps. The show was so poorly treated by Seven. Fans had to check every week if it was screening at 11pm, 11.50pm or 1am and you still had to set your VCR for 2 hours before and after each episode. Sometimes, you’d fast forward through 3 hours of tape only to discover it had been dropped that week.
I sometimes dream that it is still airing in the early hours of Sunday morning.
