  1. Sky mostly broadcasts US content. Sky Atlantic is their premium channel which has the rights to HBO content. Riviera is better than other Sky commissioned original dramas Delicious and Fortitude, but they were unwatchable. Cable dramas typically get at least two seasons. They need to see the OS and DVD sales and don’t really have time to develop a replacement anyway.

  2. ” … which airs its Season 1 finale tonight on SBS … ”

Tonight’s episode is ep 8 of 10 according to the story outline on epguides and imdb. Also, the Foxtel guide shows eps 9 and 10 airing as a 2 hours double ep next Wednesday on SBS.

Perhaps this info is out-of-date and SBS is holding over the final 2 eps to next year. I hope not though, I’m enjoying the series even though it can be a bit far-fetched at times.

  3. Well I’m still watching it so it must be ok but I’m surprised it’s getting another season.

Last week’s episode descended into farce when the Interpol fraud investigator went all Guantanemo Bay on Georgina.
