Returning: Living Black

Jessica Mauboy, Dan Sultan, Warren Mundine & Kevin Rudd meet with Karla Grant in NITV new season.

Indigenous current affairs series Living Black returns to NITV for its 15th year and 25th season next month with host Karla Grant.

The 10 part series again features one-on-one conversations with giving a voice to a range of perspectives and untold human stories.

“As Australia’s longest running Indigenous current affairs program, I am proud of Living Black’s longevity,” said Grant. “Fifteen years on, as we return to screens for the 25th season, Living Black continues to share Indigenous stories and perspectives, and investigate topical issues, from politics, music and entertainment, to history, sport and cultural preservation.”

Kris Flanders, Elliana Lawford and Nakari Thorpe are also reporting from around Australia.

Arguably the most exciting season yet, host Karla will sit down with musicians Jessica Mauboy, Dan Sultan, Stevie Salas and prominent political figures including Warren Mundine and Kevin Rudd. Journalists Kris, Elliana and Nakari will travel to the small Aboriginal community of Mutitjulu, just one of the 70 communities impacted by the Intervention, cycle across the country to raise awareness for bike safety and Indigenous health in regional and remote Aboriginal communities, and follow the compelling story of Mungo Man returning home.

Wednesdays 9pm on NITV from 6 December
Thursdays 3pm on SBS from 7 December
