SBS secures Wallabies spring tour games

SBS to screen Wallabies games against national teams from Wales, England & Scotland.

SBS has secured the exclusive free-to-air rights to three upcoming Rugby Union matches from the Wallabies 2017 Spring Tour.

The international test matches see the Wallabies up against the national teams from Wales, England and Scotland.

Coverage will be in HD on SBS, as well as streamed live online via SBS On Demand.

Sunday 12th November, SBS
4am AEDT (kick off 4.15am)
Wales v Australia
(Live from Principality Stadium, Cardiff)

Saturday 18th November, SBS
1.45am AEDT (kick off 2am)
England v Australia
(Live from Twickenham, London)

Saturday 25th November, SBS VICELAND
1.15am AEDT (kick off 1.30am)
Scotland v Australia
(Live from Murrayfield, Edinburgh)

  1. All power to the SBS, football would not be making the strides it is in Australia without the broadcasting initiatives of the SBS, with great credit due to Les Murray and Johnny Warren. FTA TV need to rescue Rugby Union from itself especially with the ARU having nearly all of its broadcast eggs in the Foxtel basket, so for 2017 at least, rugby fans can follow the Wallaby revival in Europe on FTA, hopefully in full HD.
