Shane Warne has quashed rumours he has his sights set on Love Island -either as host or participant.
He took to Twitter to set the record straight:
FYI silly reporters I do not want to be on love island or host the show. I’m just a huge fan & cant wait to see the action on @Channel9 & the fun in 2018 ! Also, I am not dating anyone and am very single !!!!

It follows reports in which Michael Clarke was asked by Fitzy on radio:
“Do you think there’s a chance Shane Warne could be the next Bachelor?” Fitzy asked.
“No chance … but there’s another show he’s been bragging on about. Love Island,” Clarke replied.
“He wants to host it … I said: ‘Host it? You wanna go on it!’”
TEN CEO Paul Anderson was recently asked about Warne being on The Bachelor or Bachelorette but he drew upon a Julia Morris gag that Warne would be more likely to do “nicorette.”
Together with speculation about Sophie Monk as host, it’s all good publicity for Nine’s Love Island.
