Next week SBS premieres a new drama series Six.

Written by William Broyles Jr (Apollo 13), this is an 8 part series that chronicles six members of Navy SEAL Team Six whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a US citizen working with terrorists.

The cast includes Barry Sloane, Edwin Hodge & Brianne Davis. Produced for the History channel it debuted in January (and at SBS On Demand in October) and has been renewed for a second season.

Season One, Episode One:
Pilot SEAL Team Six troop leader Rip Taggart makes a questionable decision while on a mission in Afghanistan. Two years later, Rip is captured by Boko Haram and it’s up to his former SEAL Team Six brothers to locate and rescue him.

Friday, 8 December at 10.40pm on SBS.
