Anh Do developing Kids TV project

A record number of projects given script development funding by the Australian Children's Television Foundation.

Anh Do is developing his children’s book WeirDo into a new TV project.

The book, which won Australian Children’s Book of the Year 2014, centres around a kid with an unforgettable name.

“My parents could have given me any first name at all, like John, Kevin, Shmevin …anything. Instead I’m stuck with the worst name since Mrs Face called her son Bum. Meet Weir Do. No, that’s not a typo, that’s his name! Weir Dos the new kid in school. With an unforgettable name, a crazy family and some seriously weird habits, fitting in won’t be easy …but it will be funny!” a book synopsis indicates.

It is in development with Pop Family Entertainment (Sydney Sailboat, My:24) headed by producer Carmel Travers.
