Nine Perth managing director resigns

Nine’s Perth managing director Ray Wardrop is departing in the new year.

The former general manager at Seven Perth joined Nine in 2015, replacing David Mott.

Ian Paterson, Director – Commercial Partnerships and Affiliates, said in a statement: “Ray Wardrop has advised his intention to step aside from his role as Managing Director at Nine in the new year to resume a more leisurely lifestyle which we coaxed him out of a couple of years back.

“Since 2015 Ray has been an important member of the Nine senior management team and as you all know is a passionate advocate for the opportunities which exist for our business in Perth. Ray has guided our business as we made the important transition out of old dilapidated premises and into the heart of the city, to become a vibrant part of the community. His guidance, knowledge and mentorship has helped many of you and we thank him for that.

“Ray will remain with us as we work through the important next phase of growth for our business in Perth and I know you will, as does Hugh Marks and the entire executive team, wish him well as he prepares to leave us early in the new year.”

Nine is yet to announce his replacement.
