Oops. Today show crosses to wrong guest.

Not as bad as a BBC fumble, but pretty amusing nonetheless.

Just as well I am yet to file the best Oops stories of 2017, after the Today show yesterday crossed to the wrong guest.

News presenter Lara Vella threw to the Commander of the NSW Financial Crimes Squad, Detective Superintendent Linda Howlett to ask about a Police Band song only to discover she was another person altogether.

“Ah, sorry, I’m actually here to talk about road safety. I’m not from the police,” the woman named Lyn said.

“OK, well, we’ll definitely come back to the Detective Superintendent for more on that. We’ll throw to Deb now. Thank you,” Vella quickly replied.

Not awkward as a 2006 BBC interview perhaps but amusing nonetheless…
