Returning: Jar Dwellers SOS

ELEVEN's locally-produced kid's animation deals with creatures that have been bottled and released from living inside special jars.

Locally-produced kid’s animation Jar Dwellers SOS returns to ELEVEN today.

The series by Richmond based studio Viskatoons is based on Charles Darwin’s famous expedition to find and study creatures from around the world.

Produced as the an Australian, Canadian, Colombian co-production it deals with amazing creatures that have been trapped, bottled, forgotten, found and released from living inside special jars.

The action packed episodes deal with the daily adventures of Sophie and David protecting the over excited Jar Dwellers from being found by Professor Van Riceberger, Chang and their dreaded Jar Tracker machines.

The production employs 76 world class writers, artists, animators, producers, directors, actors, musicians, sound engineers and editors with Viskatoons insisting on a 50/50 gender split. The team have/will be working together over 12 months to complete the next 52 episodes.

Viskatoons strongly believes in fostering new creative talent, and continues to play an integral role in the development of Victoria’s growing animation industry. Local funding with the help of Film Victoria made the production possible.
