Here's how the first week of ABC Comedy plays out.

New multichannel ABC Comedy is on the air tonight from 7:30pm, replacing ABC2.
New and repeat comedies will screen from 7:30pm till around 2am. ABC KIDS remains in place, but now until 7:30pm.
The flagship show is Tonightly with Tom Ballard, screening Monday – Thursdays at 9pm with a “Best of” on Friday.
There are new seasons of Catastrophe, Episodes, Inside Amy Schumer, Comedy Next Gen and the premiere of Murder in Successville and Game Face.
David Anderson, Director Television says, “The ABC is committed to investing in great content for all Australians. We have a long and impressive history of entertaining Australians through iconic comedy and entertainment programs. Our announcement today reaffirms this commitment and underscores the ABC as a powerhouse of great Australian comedy into the future.”

Wow that ABC Comedy watermark is ridiculously large. That needs to be reworked and resized.
So, where do the documentaries go to? Not ABC 1 by the look of it. I used to be a supporter of the ABC but haven’t been for some time. Since the ratings pursuit under Scott and all the pap that it shows now it is a disgrace!
I would like to see some British sketch comedy shows on ABC Comedy. Either new sketch shows or repeats of older shows. It would also be nice to have an Australian sketch comedy show that could be produced for ABC Comedy.
Must send ABC a case of Alka Seltzer. So much repeating.
I’ll watch Tonightly but I think a show modeled on The Chaser’s War on Everything would be better than another Daily Show imitation.
Hello ABC Comedy! My favourite comedians are Dave Callan, Sam Simmons, Roy Slaven, HG Nelson, Judith Lucy, Shaun Micallef, Jane Turner, Gina Riley,Magda Szubanski, Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean), Ross Noble, David Strassman and Abbott & Costello. On the channel I’d like to see repeats of the Glass House and Dirty Laundry Live.
I hope that the start of the new ratings year will bring more new programming to this schedule. So many repeats. I’ll give Tom Ballard a go, but that’s the only thing I see above which may take my interest.
