Whovians Christmas Special: Dec 26

What will Rove, Adam Richard, Cal Wilson & “Bajo” make of the 2017 special?

A Whovians Christmas Special will air on Boxing Day straight after the Doctor Who Christmas Special Twice Upon A Time.

Once again this will be filmed in front of a studio audience and is now broadcast on ABC Comedy.

Whovians is back to say goodbye to Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat and hello to the very first female Doctor Jodie Whittaker in the 2017 Doctor Who Christmas Special! Host Rove McManus will be joined by die hard Whovians including Adam Richard, [updated: Tegan Higginbotham,] Cal Wilson and Steven “Bajo” O’Donnell.

As well as unpacking the most recent episode, Rove and the team will open the doors of the TARDIS and go back through the annals of time to lovingly analyse, critique, and unravel the mysteries of this much loved globally renowned series.

8:30pm Tuesday December 26 on ABC Comedy.

  1. I went to the Whovians filming this afternoon, and as I predicted in an earlier Dr. Who article, the regeneration scene was not shown. Other than that, the entirety of the Christmas special was shown. The audience had to sign non-disclosure contracts, so I will keep to the letter and not say anything about the special. I can say though that Rove and the panel have viewed the full special, and they did discuss it earlier. It was also interesting seeing how the whole event went down, and for anyone thinking about going to Whovians next year (that hasn’t been confirmed yet), do! It’s great being with fellow fans. Whovians can only come about if you ask the ABC to do so, so write in. (Rove said that the Christmas special was due to the fans asking if there was going to be a Whovians show at Christmas.)

      1. Most certainly! I think this will rank up there as one of the best of the new era’s Christmas specials. There were a lot of ooh’s, aah’s, and most importantly aww’s from the audience at this viewing.
