Can Roseanne Barr make a new-look Roseanne sitcom work in 2018?
Newly-released photos indicate a familiar set and plans to recreate the family household despite their maturing.
Roseanne Barr is set to return for 9 episodes with original cast members John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Michael Fishman (DJ), Sara Gilbert (Darlene) and Lecy Goranson (Becky).
Johnny Galecki recently confirmed his return as David.
An Australian network is yet to be confirmed.

Maybe Ch11 came run the original series again now and give Charmed, Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier, The King of Queens etc a well earned rest…
And on a lighter note…I have a crochet throw almost like that one…*G*
Look – another both “Beckys” running gag 🙂 that I alluded to in the Mrs Brown/Rory actor Substitute thread
Ill be interested to watch it and I like that it has a limited run, I think there are plenty more stories to be told about where they are all at in life.
It can’t be any worse than the Will and Grace re boot, I know I am in the minority but for the main that new series has been a big disappointment, that Christmas episode was appallingly bad it was almost embarrassing….
Pretty sure you are in the minority… Loving the new Will & Grace
As for Roseanne…. never really did like it to begin with, so probably won’t give it a go. Barr is always way over the top for me
Jumping on the Will and Grace bandwagon. I guess Becky will be “divorced”, given the actor who played her husband is dead.
Amazing how the replicated the original set. I used to love Roseanne and still watch it sometimes now, not a fan of her political beliefs now and how anti-Muslim she has become, she replied to one of my tweets calling me an “elitist lefty” lol
Interesting to see the 2 Beckys in a scene together. I wonder how that will work ?
Further proof that Hollywood is running out of ideas.
Can’t wait for this one, Roseanne is one of my all time favourite sitcoms (apart from that original last season!).
I’m hoping this will be good, but I have some doubts. There was is an interesting Entertainment Weekly article online about how they rebuilt the set and tried to match all the original furniture and props, pretty much nothing is from the original set. Fun fact, the original living room set was later reused after some minor reconfiguration to become a living room set in Mike & Molly.
