John Oliver’s editorial on the Australian Gay Marriage Postal Survey has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the US.

Oliver ridiculed the postal survey and the $120m price tag that came with it.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognise fair, accurate, and and inclusive portrayals of the LGBTQ community in film, television, music, journalism, and comic books. Winners will be announced in Los Angeles on April 12 and in New York on May 5.
