Hit series The Good Doctor is back with not 1 but 2 new episodes next week -a confident move by Seven given it is still non-ratings.
This is a 2 part storyline which aired in the US earlier this month. That will put us at just 1 episode behind the US with 5 more to come.
It will air at 9pm Monday and Tuesday.
Season 1 Episode 11: Islands Part One
Dr. Marcus Andrews enlists Dr. Neil Melendez on a very sensitive kidney transplant between a pair of twins whose lives intersect in more ways than one! Meanwhile, overwhelmed by Dr. Aaron Glassman’s attempts to have him meet with a therapist and the demands at work, Dr. Shaun Murphy decides to take an impromptu trip with his friend Lea and leave everything behind.

The Good Doctor and Grey’s in the one night?!
My heart might not cope!
I am confused?
Just tune in to watch and keep oan eye on 7 programming changes if it moves from Mon and Tues to another day?! or only one….
ABC have aired 13 eps. Ep. 14 “She” isn’t listed for Mon though, a blog has it listed for Mon 5 Feb. So it looks like it may only a 1 week production break. So Seven could catch up with 2 eps for the next two weeks on Mon & Tue. Or they could drop to 1 per week and show it for 6 weeks on Mon (or Tues allowing for 1 more week of production break), which would put the last 5 weeks into ratings season.
I’m seeing a 29th Jan airdate in America for Episode 14.
Don’t know what you were reading.
I stand by my previous calculations.
Pertinax is right. The Good Doctor is on a break until the 5th of February.
After further inspection, I apologise because I was wrong.
Apparently epguides.com , episodate.com and many other websites need to change their pages about The Good Doctor.
They list Episode 14 (one site mentions “She” as the 15th ep) for the 29th of Jan but the title is known by “TBA”.
Again I apologise for being a pain.
You werent a pain, the sites you were relying were incorrect and had not updated their sites. Thus you were incorrect because they were outdated. 🙂
Therefore not a pain.
The IMDB and episode sites generate dates automatically in a series. People then edit them when the month’s listings come out in TV Guide. These days networks make changes at short notice and tend not to publish their rpt episodes. Showtime caught me out a couple of years ago when they ran a catch up marathon of Homeland instead of the next ep on a holiday weekend at short notice. And the usually sites were not updated beforehand.
You might want to check the earlier conversation that went on in the TV Lounge.
I think 9 News might have hijacked this article.
A couple of numerical errors are in this article.
Awesome but I hope 7 havent stuffed things up by moving it to a monday night. Personally I liked it when it was put on a thursday night as there usually isnt anything else to watch. But looking forward to its return.
TGD was on Tu & Th. Seven are going with MKR/TGD as shock and awe on Mon & Tu. Since it airs on Mon in the US, once Seven are caught up it could continue on Tue, if they want to run it ASAP.
