Seven hires new spinner

Seven has hired Stephen Browning, a former head of corporate affairs at News Corp on a consultancy basis, The Australian reports.

The hire follows the departure of longtime Seven corp. affairs spokesperson, Simon Francis.

Browning is expected to do further work with the media company in the coming months, and will work closely with Seven chief executive Tim Worner.

Browning joined News Corp in 2006 as the manager of corporate communications before being promoted to director of corporate affairs for News Corp in 2012. He left the company in 2016.
