2017 Norwegian drama series Monster begins next week on SBS.

Two detectives, who loathe each other, pursue a twisted murder case only to find a link to a past case.

This is a 7 part series that begins with a double episode.

In the land beyond the mountains, in the northernmost part of the world, the body of a young woman is discovered in a remote forest. A terrible crime has been committed, and two police investigators, who loathe each other, are assigned to the unusual case. The investigation takes more than one unexpected turn, and tragically the two police investigators find themselves caught up in the heart of things.

The search for the truth leads the investigators to remote and exotic areas with dark secrets. As the two investigators close in on the murderer, the investigation becomes increasingly dangerous for them, and they realise that they must cooperate in order to solve the case.

Episode One:
A young man is killed, and Helle is assigned to the case for the time being. Special investigators Dreyer and Jacobi arrive in Nemesoara, who cast Helle aside. Now attached to the case, Helle can’t seem to stay out of the investigation, much to Dreyer’s annoyance.

Episode Two:
Helle informs her superiors about Dreyer’s state the night before, but they seem more interested in her mental and physical health. Dreyer suspects that they may have overlooked some details at the scene of the crime, and orders an excavation of the area where Tyra was found.
