Good Doctor to the rescue on Tuesday

Ratings: All three reality shows were up on last Tuesday, but it was drama that brought it home.

Married at First Sight again topped the night and the demos but it was Seven’s combo of My Kitchen Rules with The Good Doctor that gave them line honours.

MAFS drew 1.25m viewers over MKR‘s 1.12m. I’m a Celebrity was 4th in its slot at 517,000 -all three were up on last Tuesday.

The Good Doctor won its slot with 949,000, strictly speaking its lowest audience so far but well ahead of Date Night, Hughesy We Have a Problem and Catalyst -all under the 500,000 mark.

ABC’s Checkout lifted from 446,000 to 486,000 last night and Insight was up for SBS at 197,000.

Seven News, ACA and The Chase again won their slots.

Seven network won Tuesday with 32.7% then Nine 31.4%, TEN 15.7%, ABC 14.1% and SBS 6.1%.

My Kitchen Rules led for Seven with 1.12m viewers then Seven News (964,000 / 921,000), The Good Doctor (949,000), Home and Away (697,000), The Chase (579,000 / 353,000) and Grey’s Anatomy (296,000).

Married at First Sight was #1 for Nine with 1.25m then Nine News (945,000 / 943,000), A Current Affair (881,000), Hot Seat (486,000 / 293,000), Date Night (451,000). Friends with Benefits was 233,000.

The Project again lead for TEN with 527,000 / 310,000. It was followed by I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (517,000), Hughesy We Have a Problem (441,000), TEN Eyewitness News (434,000) and Family Feud (299,000). NCIS: LA was 218,000 / 165,000.

ABC News (689,000), 7:30 (567,000), The Checkout (486,000), Catalyst (388,000), Hannah Gadsby’s Nakedy Nudes (243,000) and Think Tank (170,000) comprised ABC’s night.

On SBS it was Who Do You Think You Are? (217,000), Insight (197,000), Dateline (141,000) and SBS World News (127,000).

ABC2’s PJ Masks topped multichannels at 161,000.

The Morning Show: 125,000 / 70,000
Today Extra: 96,000 / 57,000
Studio 10: 88,000 / 76,000 / 50,000

    1. It is the number one drama on television. Married At First Sight is the number one show and despite it containing a lot of contrived drama, it is technically considered a reality program.

    2. Good Doctor is the Number 1 show on TV, based on time-shifting (DVR catch-up). More then 300k are being added to overnight each epsiode, after 7 days.

      Taking average to over 1.3m for this year. Which is ahead of MKR and Married’s averages so far.

      So Seven aren’t incorrect.
