Guy Pearce lands UK supernatural series for Netflix

Guy Pearce has scored a key role in Netflix’s eight-episode British supernatural teen series The Innocents.

Created by Hania Elkington (The North London Book of the Dead) and Simon Duric (Black Mirror), the story follows teenagers Harry (Percelle Ascott) and June (Sorcha Groundsell) who run away from their repressive family lives to be together. They’re quickly thrown into an extraordinary journey of self-discovery that derails their innocent dream as the extraordinary gift they possess unleashes powerful forces intent on dividing them forever.

Pearce will play a character named Halvorson, with filming to take place in Norway and the United Kingdom.

  1. More supernatural for Netflix and a further test for those UHD TV’s that struggle coping with all that darkness and dim background lighting, sometimes you can hardly see anything at all which is not always a bad thing.
