Louise Momber to present Today bulletins in Perth

Louise Momber returns from maternity leave for early morning role for Perth viewers.

Nine News presenter Louise Momber will present the news bulletins during Today for Perth viewers from Monday.

Momber returns to Nine from maternity leave and takes over the breakfast bulletins from Tracy Vo. The bulletins at 7.00am, 7.30am, 8.00am and 8.30am include local and breaking news, to help address timezone differences during East Coast content.

Nine Perth News Director, Shaun Menegola, said: “We’re thrilled to have Louise front and centre on Today Perth News. Lou is an important part of Nine News. What makes her such a wonderful presenter is that she’s a warm and genuine person, and that doesn’t change whether she’s on camera or away from the studio.

“Lou is the perfect person to host Perth’s first and best morning news service. Today Perth News is a major commitment to making sure the people of Perth get to wake up to local news, with four bulletins every weekday morning, live out of our studio on St Georges Terrace.”

Momber has been with Nine for a decade, anchoring weekend news plus roles as senior producer and reporter.

“I’m looking forward to getting behind the desk on Today Perth News and letting people know what’s going on in Perth as they wake up,” she said. “Today Perth News is all about what’s happened overnight, what’s happening as Perth wakes, and what’s about to happen across the day. It’s Perth news on Perth time and the perfect catch-up on what’s going on every morning.”
