US detective drama Bosch has been renewed for a 5th season ahead of its 4th season premiere.
The series, starring Titus Welliver, will also see developer and executive producer Eric Overmyer return to the show. Overmyer was showrunner on Seasons 1 – 3 before leaving for The Man in the High Castle, which he now departs. He will serve as co-showrunner alongside executive producer Daniel Pyne, who succeeded him for Season 4.
“As Amazon Prime Video’s longest-running one-hour series, Bosch has long been a cornerstone of our scripted programming, and Prime members consistently clamor for more,” said Sharon Tal Yguado, Head of Scripted Series, Amazon Studios. “We are excited to give them another season with Harry Bosch, Jerry Edgar, Grace Billets and the rest of the diverse characters that make up the Bosch universe.”
Season 4 is due in the US in April, but yet to be confirmed for Australia by SBS.

what’s the point of having Amazon Prime if they won’t allow you to watch S3 or S4!!!
Yep – I though the quality dropped a little in S3 compared to S1 & 2 (which were brilliant), still looking forward to S4 and 5 because even ‘Bad’ Bosch is a million times better than most stuff on FTA commercial prime time TV at the moment.
Yay!-some of the plotlines are somewhat prosaic, but it’s excellently made and acted with interesting characters.
Hurrah! This is an outstanding show. Just my type of thing.
Good one!
