Amazon’s anthology series Lore has been renewed for a second season.
The series, based on a podcast, tells one-off stories, usually with a horror bent, exploring the origins of popular urban legends and myths.
Writer-producer Glen Morgan (The X-Files, Millennium) served as showrunner for the first season of the series, but for the second outing, Sean Crouch (Numbers, Helix) will take charge.
The new season will feature episodes based on existing podcast instalments, as well as new stories written specifically for the show itself.
The next season will begin shooting in April 2018.

Great! I’m a huge fan of the podcast. It very quickly became part of my commute ritual as I was going through Serial withdrawals. A 15-25 minute “ghost story” [I’m being a little unfair there] once a fortnight may not seem like much but Aaron Mahnke’s delivery is superb. I’ve not actually had the time to see the first season, but I look forward to it.
