TEN picks up Roseanne revival

Roseanne Barr is set to return for 9 episodes on the same network she featured 20 years ago.

The revived Roseanne series is headed to TEN.

That’s exactly where she screened with her clan some 20 years ago.

Roseanne Barr is set to return for 9 episodes with original cast members John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Michael Fishman (DJ), Sara Gilbert (Darlene) and Lecy Goranson (Becky). Johnny Galecki has also been confirmed as David.

Roseanne Barr said: “In the original series, I always wanted to have a 10th year so that I could do exactly what I did with these nine [episodes] to finish and complete the story of this family. I’m very happy that we got a 10th season.“

ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement, “The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant — and hilarious — today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne.”

It returns in the US in late March but an Aussie airdate is yet to be announced by TEN.

  1. I didn’t watch when it was originally on, but looking forward to this….hope it does well for 10. With Fuller House now Roseanne and talk about Charmed, bring on Home Improvement.

  2. Showing it express could do well for TEN, Wednesday March 28 would be the best spot for it, as the US has it Tuesday March 27, so we’d get it within hours of original broadcast. Slot it in at 9pm after whatever reality is showing at 7:30pm, and before a 9:30pm drama.
I just hope this season is stronger than Will and Grace has been. Each W&G episode so far feels unnecessary, like that story did not need to be told.

  3. I hope Sarah Chalke has a good part. I have followed her ever since I felt sorry for her getting sacked from Roseanne. She has had the 3rd best acting career of the actors since the show.
